Massachusetts General Hospital

The MGH Development Office wanted to create more engaging and dynamic pieces for it’s Phillips Society donors.

Emerge Design Group redesigned the “newsletter” and repositioned the piece as a year-end donor report. The report features donor stories that help better connect with their audience.

The report was huge departure from previous pieces and a major success with donors. It was so well received that it is being extended to a quarterly update. Subsequent awareness campaigns have also been launched.

SolidWorks

SolidWorks wanted to present user-created solutions of projects completed by using their 3D rendering software. The result was a case studies program that included a binder and over 80 individual case studies.

SolidWorks also needed to brand and market their national user conference, SolidWorks World. An identity was created along with all supporting marcomm materials including advertising, direct mail, attendee packets and conference program.

Museum of African American History

MAAH needed to produce a flagship case statement piece for a multi-year appeal. They wanted to carry this theme through their 2008 Annual Appeal and ongoing donor relation communications.

Emerge Design Group designed a comprehensive case statement that repositioned the Museum as a vibrant learning center. The piece properly reflects the dedication and energy of its mission as well as outlining the plan to restore and revive the physical infrastructure.

The case statement has been well-received by MAAH committees and donor community. Subsequent pieces such as the annual appeal, have built off the success of this piece.

Boston University School of Management

The Boston University School of Management was involved in a university-wide rebranding. The School needed to integrate the new standards into their current campaign strategy and business focus.

We conducted a visual audit of all School publications and collateral to determine the visual brand strategy. The magazine was then redesigned using these new standards in typography, color and visual style.

Emerge Design Group has assisted the School to implement new brand standards that are reflected in the design of the magazine as well as other admissions and development collateral. New editorial sections were also developed to keep the publication fresh and current.

Depositors Insurance Fund

The Depositors Insurance Fund wanted to create an annual co-branded marketing campaign consisting of posters, countercards, bill stuffers and print ads that are customizable for 70+ DIF member banks.

Emerge Design Group created a co-branded campaign that employed offset and digital printing along with pdf files for print and online ads. Banks able to select any quantity desired.

Each piece was customized with the member bank’s logo creating a co-brand campaign that builds awareness and brand for both partners.

New Year’s Needham

The non-profit Needham Arts Council decided to run a First Night style New Year’s Eve celebration in the Town of Needham. The event needed a complete branding and marketing package and was starting from ground zero.

Emerge Design Group created a unique brand for the New Year’s Needham celebration that would carry forward into future years. Annually only the button color and year would change, keeping all other marketing material in tact, significantly stretching their annual budget.

The brand was expressed through all marketing and advertising including posters, brochures, banners, event signage, admission buttons and website.
Downtown Needham was blanketed with NYN posters, banners and signage. Newspaper advertising and event brochures further informed residents of the celebration.

MacGray Campus Solutions

MacGray wanted to reposition their stale academic division to give it more prominent place within their sales force. The goal was to cross-market existing product lines to academic institutions.

Emerge Design Group renamed the division Campus Solutions and created a new identity. Marketing collateral was then produced including overview brochure, fact sheets and print and online advertising.

Campus Solutions now integrates MacGray’s full line of products in it’s own subbrand targeted to the academic market. The branding enabled the sales force to cross-market products helping gain marketshare.
